What the product does
Image and video registration
Process a source file on your device and register a signed provenance capsule. Keep the asset identifier to retrieve and verify the record.
Images up to 50 MB · Video up to 500 MB
Writing registration
Register fingerprints of pasted writing under your identity. This is a separate workflow and does not produce a media capsule.
Text remains in your browser
Image detection
Compare an image with the registered Ma’atara index, including some edited or cropped copies. Results describe similarity and require interpretation.

Capsule verification
Look up an asset identifier to check the media capsule’s signature and signing key, and read its recorded signing time.

Publish signed preferences for a content hash, covering generative training, other AI training, automated processing and search indexing.

Workflow
From source to checkable record
Prepare your identity
Set up an authorized local signing identity for Protect and AI consent. A portal sign-in alone does not provide this site with a signing key.
Identity and device setup →Register your work
Choose an image or video, or paste writing. The browser processes the source locally and sends fingerprints and registration data to the service.
Registration details →Keep the receipt
Save the returned asset identifier and retain your original. For media, others can use the identifier to check the signed capsule in Verify.
Understanding verification →
After registration, Protect attempts to append a reference to your personal chain. Registration and chain recording are separate outcomes; a failed chain append is reported separately.
Requirements
Before you start
- A browser that supports the selected image or video format. Codec support and processing performance vary by device.
- An internet connection for registration, index search and record lookup. Visual recognition may download a model to run locally.
- A local signing identity and available registration allowance for Protect. Detect and Verify can be used without an account.
Record interpretation
What the evidence establishes
- A valid capsule signature links an unchanged record to its signing key. It does not establish authorship, legal ownership or the original creation date.
- Verify checks a record by identifier. Detect compares images; similarity is not proof of copying, and a missing match is not proof of absence.
- AI-use declarations communicate preferences to cooperating services; they do not technically prevent copying or training.
