How identity works here
Your identity lets you sign registrations and preferences. Keep your recovery material safe.
Signing in and signing work
Sign-in uses maatara One at id.maatara.io. The portal authorizes access, but browser storage is separate for each site. Protect and Consent need a signing identity set up on this origin; a portal session alone does not supply that key.
Detect and Verify work without an account. Protect requires an identity and available registration allowance.
Your responsibility
Private identity material is encrypted in local browser storage. Unlocking allows this browser to sign. Ma’atara does not hold a server-side signing-key backup or offer a support reset that replaces your recovery phrase.
Keep your current recovery phrase offline and follow the portal recovery guidance before clearing browser data. Recovering an identity is not a backup of your original protected files.
