What happens to my data if Ma’atara shuts down?
Keep your originals and save records while services are available. Provenance registration is not a file backup.
Your source work
Protect does not upload your original image, video or writing. Keep your own backups of that work and the returned registration identifiers. An identifier alone is not a saved copy of the public evidence.
Service availability
Public record retrieval, index search and this app’s Verify page depend on Ma’atara services being available. A saved signed capsule can support a separate signature check with suitable tools and public key material, but this app does not promise offline verification or a complete evidence export.
Do not assume public-ledger anchoring preserves every capsule or keeps this service online. There is no self-hosted replacement offered by this product.
If you also use Parable
Create and check your Parable backups while the required services and your identity are available. Exporting server-held records requires connectivity; a recovery phrase alone is not a downloaded backup. Follow Parable’s current backup and recovery guidance for its export coverage and limits.
